3 Way Conferences

3 Way Conferences are usually held towards the end of June/early July each year at Deloraine High School over a period of two weeks.  Parents/Carers also have the option for teachers to have a phone conference with them if they would prefer.

Students are strongly encouraged to attend the conferences with their parent/carer as they will spend time reflecting on their time in class and on their learning and choosing pieces of work to share with you on the evening.

When parents, teachers and students come together, it creates a postive relationship that results in everyone working together with the student's best interests as the priority.  3 Way Conferences are one way of maintaining contact with school and 'staying in the loop'. Research shows that parents have a significant impact on their children's educational achievements.  In fact, parental engagement overrides all other factors that have been shown to influence a child's achievements.  A 3 Way Conference will offer a better understanding about your child's academic, social, emotional and physical development.  Your child's strengths and areas for improvement in all subject areas can be explained in detail.  Mid-Year reports are given out at Student-led Conferences.
